TIC - The Effects of Recent Events in Estero
Steve Sarkozy's
Effects of Recent events in Estero
We will have a discussion on the effects of recent events of significant interest to all of us, including the ongoing impact of Hurricane Ian (where is all the trash going?). We will also cover land use development, the continuing growth of Lee County, outlook of real estate values, and an update on the former Winn Dixie property.
Frank Connolly, resident of Lighthouse Bay, himself has had a career in Connecticut local government as a Town Planner, Town Manager, and School Finance Director. He is also an author, having written two books on local government. One book is a textbook on Connecticut local governmental operations and the other is a fictional novel on local government. To add to the discussion will be guest speaker Steve Sarkozy, Village Manager of Estero since 2015. The position of Town or Village Manager is not an elected position, but an appointment by the Village Council to run the Village. The position is not political and does not associate with a political party. The appointment is based on education and experience. Steve has been Estero's Manager since 2015.
