AARP Smart Driver Course

The AARP SMART DRIVER Course was updated and re-launched in 2014. The program is the product of volunteer insight combined with expert input and numerous research studies. A study conducted by the Eastern Virginia Medical School for AARP, found the course reduces driving errors. The focus of the course is to help participants understand the cycle of changes they go through as they age. These changes are in themselves, their cars and the roads they drive on. It goes on to give the participants: Defensive Driving Techniques; Proven Safety Strategies; New Traffic Laws and Rules of the Road to help adapt to these changes. The course provides information specific to the State of Florida. Upon completion you could be eligible for a multi-year discount on your car insurance.
