Aging Independently
Any drastic life change can be difficult, no matter how old you are. Research shows that seniors, in particular are faced with a number of life changes such as losing a spouse or close friends, their children moving away, not being able to prepare meals anymore or even not being able to drive.  Healthy aging means continually reinventing yourself as you pass through your landmark ages and finding new things to do to stay active (physically and mentally).  It means learning to adapt to change, staying physically and socially active, and feeling connected to your community and loved ones.   There are several programs and living options available to you in SWFL to aid in the success of aging gracefully.  Knowledge is power so we encourage you to join SBB University and our panel of area experts as we explore topics ranging from senior care management programs, in home services, and retirement communities designed for the savvy and independent senior in mind.
