Jayne received her Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies from Florida Gulf Coast University. She completed an internship with the FGCU Wings of Hope Panther Posse Program which led to a position with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission as the panther outreach specialist educating residents on how to co-exist with the Florida Panther. She then transitioned into the state-wide wildlife assistance biologist position where her coexistence messaging expanded to include bears, bobcats, coyotes. hawks, and snakes. She has served on various environmental boards, facilitates teacher training for Project W.I.L.D., Project Learning Tree, and Project W.E.T., and loves participating in citizen science projects like EagleWatch, JayWatch, and the CBC.
