Autism Awareness and Interaction in Family and Community Contexts
In this interactive lecture and discussion, you will learn how cognitive and sensory aspects of autism can impact behavior. In turn, we will explore how the environment and your own behaviors can be adapted and modified to promote engagement. Strategies will be relevant to interacting with individuals with autism across all age groups and functioning levels. You will leave with tools you can use immediately to promote interaction and meaningful engagement with individuals with autism within family and community contexts. Speaker: Dr. Annemarie Connor
