What is cancer? What causes it and how can we treat this disease? In this lecture we will look at the foundational causes of cancer at the cellular level. We will start with understanding mutations and how these changes to DNA can lead to loss of cell control and progression to metastatic disease. We will also examine how understanding the causes of cancer lead to more effective and personalized treatments.
