Invasive Species Ecology
Invasive species, both plants and animals, are one of the most negatively impactful forces in natural environments worldwide. They present massive hurdles for environmental conservation and restoration. This lecture will cover what invasive species are, why they occur, and how they are introduced. Examples relevant to southwest Florida will be used to explore the topic providing participants a basic familiarity with common invasive species in the southwest Florida area. Speaker: Taylor Hancock
