Here’s your chance to learn the enjoyable game of bridge! Classes are geared towards basics but also include bidding conventions for those wanting a refresher course. Lessons will include the basic rules of evaluating your hand, making the correct bid, and communicating clearly with your partner.

Subjects include:

• Bidding with five card majors and better minor

• Pre-emptive bids

• Power bids

• Opening leads

• Playing strategy

• Scoring

Each class will offer play and require homework. Ruth Furhovden has taught many years at The Brooks and other adult education programs.
