All Commons Club members are invited to join members of Hooked on Books on
November 9th at 3:30 pm
for a presentation of:
The Triumph of Nancy Reagan,
a biography of the former First Lady by Karen Tumulty political columnist for The Washington Post.

Tumulty explores the life of Nancy Davis Reagan from her earliest years as a sidebar in her mother's life to coming under the wing of her new stepfather, Loyal Davis, the highly respected and influential neurosurgeon, to her days at Smith, to her determination in Hollywood to become the partner of Ronald Reagan, politician. Tumulty offers new insights and details into the legacy that Nancy carefully crafted for her husband. Her own projects such as "Just Say No" as well as the couple's Ronald and Nancy Reagan Research Institute, an affiliate of the National Alzheimer's Association in Chicago, Illinois, continue to reverberate.

For this session, Jane Alter will facilitate a short discussion with Jan Johnson, Ruthmarie Mitsch, Mary Tousignant, and Mo Winograd that will open up to questions and discussion by all participants. We recommend reading the biography, but it is not required. Members may participate in person at The Commons Club Enrichment Center OR receive a Zoom link for virtual attendance. Come join us!
