Chinese Wedding Customs

The wedding customs of China are a mixture of ancient and modern practices. Religion, in most cases, has taken a back-seat in wedding ceremonies in favor of secular practices. "Pranking" has become common. Individuals are delaying marriage in favor of careers. There are more available men than women creating societal issues. In addition, new birth limitations have had an impact on
what once was a very different approach to matrimony.
