History’s Great Art Heists
This lecture will investigate some of the world’s most famous art heists of the past three centuries including: Napoleon’s and Lord Elgin’s looting in Egypt, Greece, and Italy; the theft of the Mona Lisa from the Louvre; and the still-unsolved burglary of Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
