By stealing U.S. technology, trade secrets and intellectual property, foreign states can save time and money on research and development.  China is particularly aggressive in this form of espionage.  Awareness about espionage methods can help foil foreign intelligence efforts.  This presentation will address all types of espionage, emphasizing the illegal acquisition of U.S. critical technology by foreign spies.  Topics will include:  intelligence operations, security countermeasures, counterintelligence, National Counterintelligence and Security Center, U.S. Intelligence Community, Defense Counterintelligence and Security Service, industrial security, spies. Instructor: Thomas Eastwood
