Sixty years later the Presidential campaign of 1960 remains of continuing interest. Voters had to choose between the experience of Nixon and the potential of Kennedy. Would the people choose to "get the country moving again" or hope to continue the "peace and prosperity" of the 1950s? The personalities were large, the politics were raw, the stakes were high and the result was a cliffhanger. It doesn't get any more exciting than this.
