Enrollment is limited. Homo sapiens is arguably Earth's most successful species. How did evolution shape our species and position us for our unprecedented success? Where might evolution take us? Where should we go? This question is well worth considering since a) we have some control over human cultural evolution; b) we can direct and have directed the evolution of other species; c) we have already influenced human biological evolution through advances in medicine and in ways more-subtle; and finally d) genetic engineering promises even more direct control.
