Women in Art: Prehistory to the Byzantine Age – Goddess to Guide

Explore the early evolution of art as we specifically examine the images of women appearing in a multitude of roles – mysterious totem, powerful goddess, seductive vamp, stately queen, trusted wife, beloved icon. We will examine how art reflects the ascending and descending fortunes of women in the ever-changing cultures and societies through more than 30,000 years of dynamic history. Instructor: Genie Kell
- Online programs are typically 60 minutes of lecture with 15 minutes of Q&A at the END of the presentation. Students will be able to type questions into the system at any time during the presentation.
- No software or downloads are required. Students can participate using a desktop, laptop, smartphone, or tablet.
