This lecture provides an overview of some of the finest, most influential and memorable oratory ever given. The criterion for a remarkable speech will be identified, as well as the differences between a fully developed speech and an unforgettable statement. Each of the ten highlighted speeches will be introduced with background about the speaker and the context in which it was delivered, and excerpts will be read aloud by an experienced orator. Instructors: Catherine Fitzpatrick
