TIC: Bike Safety & Maintenance
Learn how to care for and maintain your bicycle along with bicycle safety and etiquette
Facilitator: Craig Korkoian
Just like a motor vehicle, a bicycle needs maintenance and care to perform at its best. Brakes, tires, gears and other components should be regularly checked and maintained, so you can enjoy a safe, comfortable ride, whenever and wherever you decide to go. With a simple checklist, you can determine what to check before every ride and the types of maintenance that need to be performed monthly vs annually. There will also be a discussion on bicycle safety, safety equipment and rules of the road. Participants are encouraged to bring their bicycle to this clinic for an evaluation and adjustments. There will be hands-on demonstrations and an optional Fix a Flat clinic following the bike maintenance clinic. Due to the unique nature of this clinic, participants are asked to meet in the driveway of the class instructor along with your bicycles.
