TIC: Cosmology - Faith & Science Reveal Universal Truth
Cosmology: Faith & Science Reveal Universal Truth
Thursday, March 9th
9:00 am to 10:30 am
Description: This lecture presents the differing perspectives on cosmology (the study of the universe from creation through the formation of the universe as we know it leading to and inclusive of life and our being). These differing viewpoints are both in conflict as well as complementary with each other and include the many religious doctrines, philosophical reasoning, and the scientific discoveries (observed and theoretical) that describe our place in the universe. We also will discuss the top five open mysteries of the universe, covering topics like: How will the universe end – or not? Are we alone in the universe? Will mankind occupy Mars or other solar system planets? What is the Theory of Everything – ToE? Will evolution ever end?
Designed for: Members interested in learning more about cosmology.
Facilitator: Scott Flaig
