Did You Follow College Basketball in the 1950s?

Come and enjoy a new 55-min. documentary "The Purple Reign." It tells the story of how the Holy Cross basketball team started in a barn in Worcester, MA in the mid 1940s and went on to win the NCAA in 1948 and the NIT in 1954 in Madison Square Garden playing in the Finals against Duquesne University. It features interviews and footage of Bob Cousy, Tommy Heinsohn, Togo Palazzi, and Ron Perry (and our own Mickey Winograd). On that 1954 losing Duquesne team, which went on to win the NIT in 1955 against Dayton, was Mickey Winograd. Mickey will introduce the movie and talk about his times with these famous players in Madison Square Garden and what he learned in that 1954 loss that helped his team secure the NIT win in 1955.
