Introduction to Georgia O'Keeffe’s Works (Slide-Show and Presentation)
Description: Georgia O’Keeffe is a well-known American woman artist of the 20th century. O’Keeffe was also married to one of the most famous photographers, Alfred Stieglitz. I will take you on a journey of her life and art, starting from Wisconsin to New Mexico. So much of her art is intertwined with her experiences of the Southwest, but she also has some deep attachments to Wisconsin, where she was born. We will experience not only Abiqui and her gorgeous flower paintings, which are all grown to this day in her backyard, but her architectural paintings as well. This is an interactive class, and Robin’s enthusiasm for art in nature brings a new appreciation for the color and the beauty that surrounds us here in Florida.
