Understanding Artificial Intelligence: It's Promises, Dangers, and Ethical Challenges
Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to the machines that are designed and programmed to think and act like humans. Our life is changing through AI because this technology is used in a such a variety of daily services. This discussion will focus upon: 1. a non-technical description of the technology underlying the current explosion in AI applications; 2. the future emergence of Human Equivalent AI and Super Intelligent AI; and 3. the need for a Human/AI ethical values "contract" and a plan to develop it.
